The Wah pedal – from the earliest days of rock music, it grabbed the hearts of guitarists the world over with its famous “talking” tone. VOX developed the world’s first wah-wah effect, significantly coloring the history of rock music. Our original V846 Clyde McCoy pedal was named for the popular trumpeter of the day, who popularized the muted trumpet effect that the early wah-wah pedal emulated, and is still coveted by today’s collectors! In creating the V845, VOX has made full use of the wah-wah expertise that we have developed over the last forty years. Sonically, the new V845 is a modern masterpiece, preserving the spirit and tonality of the early VOX wah-wah pedals in an affordable package. The solid, diecast aluminum housing creates a vintage mood with its period-authentic black crepe finish and black-on-black pedal surface. With the superb sound sought after by today’s players and its vintage-inspired cosmetics, the V845 embraces the proud history of the VOX wah-wah pedal.
