The importance of body shape:

One of the first three Faith body shapes launched in the winter of 2002, the Venus has since become a reference point when looking for a guitar body shape that strikes the ideal balance of size and sound. Thanks to its 15″ lower bout and shallower body, the Venus is comfortable to play for long periods yet doesn’t sacrifice tone or acoustic power.

How does it all come together?

The Spruce and Mahogany combo has long been a favoured acoustic guitar recipe, and for good reason too. Spruce is naturally stiff and resonant, and when lacquered, the resonant overtones are controlled a little more than if it were satin finished. The Mahogany is a softer wood which results in it being more mellow, and so when paired, the tone is warm and almost vocal in nature. All the tonewoods remain in their ‘natural’ state, showing their original colours and grain patterns, with only the electronics breaking up the show of understated beauty.

Natural Series guitars are bound with solid Rosewood which borders the lighter woods with its grained, deep brown hues. All other fittings on the Natural models – fingerboard, bridge, pins, headplate – are made from Solid Indonesian Ebony. This premium hardwood is usually dark, with deep colours woven in, often in a striped or swirled pattern.
