From Pearl Drums Canada Artist Chad Melchert @chadmelchert Pearl MM6 Master Series in Black Mist. These take me back to the days of the purest series of Maple shells, the MLX series. With 6 plies of maple and 45 degree bearing edges they can’t be ignored. I can’t wait to get these out live and in studio. Fitted them with @remopercussion clear emperors and we’re good to go! From Chad Melchert Pearl Drums Canada Artist. @pearl_drums I have been asked quite a bit my thoughts on my new Pearl President Series drums. They are marketed as the modern build quality of their first branded Pearl drums and man did they surpass my expectations. They give you the ability to tune them high or low and feel and sound killer either way. Reminding me of my vintage Roger’s but give more tone are sturdier and built to last. The 20 inch kik has a nice mid bump that really cuts through the mix with not an overhyped low end. Mics loved the toms and were super easy to dial in a great sound. I see myself utilizing these in my studio for singer songwriter and R&B styles and on lots of stages. Great job Pearl!

From Chad Melchert Pearl Drums Canada Artist. FINALLY had time to setup the new @pearl_drums Masters Maple Gum kit. Holy smokes do they sound incredible. Tried the coated ambassadors they came with and the attack and tone is on another level from what I’m accustomed to. Bass drum has the perfect character for recording with airy lows mixed with a natural snap to the batter side. The Pearl Gyro Lock L arm wins hands down for maneuverability, sturdiness and positioning bliss!
