Keith Merrow KM-7 MK-III Artist L 7-String Electric Guitar, Lagoon Fade

KM-7 MK-III Artist L 7-String Electric Guitar, Lagoon Fade

The Schecter KM-7 MK-III Artist electric guitar brings together exceptional design and premium components to satisfy the exacting standards of Keith Merrow. Its resonant swamp ash body and stunning poplar burl top generate a dynamic voice. Outfitted with custom-voiced Lundgren M7 humbucking pickups, the KM-7 MK-III rewards you with outstanding clarity and authoritative punch. Their passive design eliminates battery hassles while providing the richness of active pickups alongside the nuance of passives. Playing the KM-7 MK-III proves fast and fluid thanks to its extra-thin C neck profile and 26.5″ extended scale length. With rock-solid intonation from the Hipshot bridge and tuners, you can rely on this 7-string guitar to hold tune and excel both on stage and in the studio.

Lundgren M7 pickups pummel your pedalboard

Plug into your new Keith Merrow KM-7 Artist and prepare to sow sonic destruction. Schecter tells Sweetwater that this 7-string guitar is loaded with two Lundgren M7 humbucking pickups, which punish your pedals and amplifier with clear, high-output tone. The pickups use a combination of unique winding patterns and ceramic magnets to give you more harmonic saturation, too. Combined with a high-gain amplifier or modeling unit, the M7 humbuckers are ready to dominate any metal, hard rock, or prog mix.

    Designed for stability and speed

Everything about the Keith Merrow KM-7 Artist centers around a neck-through design. For those unfamiliar with neck-through guitars, this design sees the neck span length of the guitar, eliminating unwieldy neck joints and ensuring the entire body resonates with the strings. This particular instrument’s neck is constructed from nine plies of wenge, maple, and purpleheart. The neck is carved into an ultra-thin “C” shape, granting you unfettered playability from the first fret to the 24th. Plus, the neck features two carbon fiber reinforcement rods, which resist the strings and prevent the neck from warping

    Rock-solid intonation and tuning stability

Achieving and maintaining accurate intonation is an absolute breeze with the Keith Merrow KM-7 Artist. First, it comes with a compensated nut courtesy of the folks at Ernie Ball. The compensated nut helps improve the overall intonation of your guitar. Meanwhile, a Hipshot hardtail bridge offers plenty of saddle adjustability, so you can achieve accurate intonation regardless of what strings you install. The bridge also helps bolster tuning stability. Finally, the Hipshot locking tuners make it easy to string up a new set of strings.
